Zusammenfassung
The successful management of learning and knowledge has become a critical success factor for organisations in today’s knowledge-intensive business world. Reflection on work practice has been identified as one of the central mechanisms of learning at work. It leads to a better understanding of work-related experiences and can guide future behavior. However, it has not been discussed so far how reflection may help organisations to react to changing conditions and business environments and how this kind of organisational learning may be supported by an appropriate Information System. Based on a well-accepted model in reflective learning theory and key findings from a study, the paper contributes to closing this gap by proposing a solution, which can be used even if no other Information Technology support is available within the corporate environment. Accordingly, the development and the prototypical implementation of two applications supporting reflective learning at the workplace are described in detail.
